Opinion needed from the below mentioned cohort
Do people from technical backgrounds at Tier 1 institutes ever feel stuck in domain-specific, non-technical roles in service companies?
If yes, what’s the best way to switch back to technical roles in product companies? Do I need to start all over again?
P.S. I’ve been in this non-technical role for about 4 years now.
You can start coding, see if you like it, then keep doing it. You will find a path slowly. Also do join some Dev community etc.
I started coding (not DSA, LC etc, but building Agentic AI POCs) on my own from the last few months, but while applying to those roles in other orgs, they are asking for minimum 3 years of experience, which in that particular technology I am lacking. Does joining any dev community or any executive certification boost the chance of getting interview calls?
