Opinion: Grapes should be visible to admin only (for their algo and to stop grape farming).

If a reward system is introduced to a platform, there will be huge grape farming and it will result in a lot of spam posts as the userbase rises. In my opinion grapes should only be used by the websites owner to drive their feed algorithm and it should not be visible to users.

just look at reddit, the entire place is filled with useless posts. the true essence of this app was for office gossip and stuff, but lately people have started to post useless things just for grapes.

I don’t think most users care about graoes

the initial userbase doesn't but as more people join and as the company scales the ratio will significantly rise and grapevine also might start monetizing grapes. it's better to keep such a metric private if you want to keep the core idea of this app alive

Nah I think this is an L take. It should be visible to everyone as grapes aren’t just handed out for every dumb thing you end up writing here. If that was the case I’d be a grape billionaire.

It depends on multiple factors like user interactions and stuff. So if you ain’t writing something that resonates to the masses you’re hardly gonna gain anything.

Besides nobody actually cares about grapes tbh. This is the anti LinkedIn app. Where if you try to show off or act high and mighty you rightfully get put in your place and I doubt we can use these grapes for anything either now or in the long run.

People dont even do office gossip anymore. Seems like we might have to eventually end up on twitter just like how it started
