Opinion about people asking for parents to pay for stuff despite earning decent amount

After the kids are 18 (maybe 21 for mollycoddled Indian laadlas), the parents owe them nothing.

Kids should be out on their own. Sink or Swim.

This is very dependent on family. Like there is no concept of my money in my house. I just ask my folks when I want to spend 5k+ on anything

I meant more of demanding money and that too for trivial day to day stuff
