Trending @Infosys; Onsite to Retain
I have served 2+ years in infosys. Dropped papers , my manager to retain me is saying to send onsite. He says to wait till 2 months and if by that time Visa is not processed i can pull papers after that.
What shall i do?
This is a bigger scam played by all IT managers compared to what Mallya played with PNB.
Fall in one sided love but don't fall into this trap by your manager.
Depends in what you want more. A chance at on-site or a 30% hike. Just out down your conditions clearly. Visa initiation and stamping and confirmed project before your current lwd and if doesn’t materialize you should have right to out down your paper again with same lwd. Make that as precondition witg hr and dm in cc. Let your manager agree to it on email and then withdraw

Here are the points to keep in mind. My friend who has gone onsite recently told me to do these things when they also asked me to stay back and they will send me onsite.
In email write it clearly that
- Ask for a exact date by when you will get confirmation
- If by the promised date on-site opportunity is not provided to me then infy have to match my offer in hand immediately.
This is because if you drop this offer then you have to again start searching for job if onsite opportunity is not given. A company will always give 100s of excuses and at the end you have to bear the loss
I heard this onsite trap from many teams in infy. This is their strategy to retain folks. If managers retaining 10 ppls with same reason like giving onsite. Genuinely only 2 ppls are going.
Yes i do have an offer 33% hike on my current ctc i am getting And i am looking for more options are i have time in my LWD as it’s 15th August
Where he will send in your client anyone went onsite recently or on your technology is there clients that are sending onsite

I also got VISA an year back in May2023 but unfortunately i didn't get opportunity to travel. I have one more year left but there is no sign sof onsite as of now. As my experience is 8+yrs and sont want take risks and patiently wait for another 3-6months and tey outisde.
Don't pull back your resignation. Just tell him that you can pull back your resignation if onsite visa thing works. You can pull back your resignation till LWD in the system with manager approval.
