Onsite Opportunity Eligiblity!
Can anyone tell me what’s the real Eligiblity for onsite?
I’ve good hold over project and even client requested to tcs for me but I’m still C1. How much minimum experience required?
PS: Seniors, if you can suggest me.
There is no such criteria. Anybody can go to onsite at any given point of time. Grade does not matter. I know couple of my friends who got onsite opportunity after 6 months of joining the project. Still he is at onsite.
Yeah, for places like the US the criteria is a bit more. For e.g. Dubai, you can go anytime 😂. It's just a matter of project and your manager 😂.
And on C3A, you're wrong. For the US they require you to have 5+ years of experience. That's all, as you will be eligible for the lottery and the lottery is luck 😂. Another would be your company, if it's US based they can send you anytime if they wish to do so. If your manager is saying C3A and other things, then you're being fooled 😂. They want to work you more in hopes of giving you onsite.
1 of my colleagues had H1B approved then also not given the opportunity. Even we had an onsite position open.He was ITA..So don't fall for it if you have less of a package then switch the company .sooner or later you will definitely get onsite. In Canada , my friend is onsite and he is ITA but never heard of C1. So it can be just for offering but not for execution. But you can use your best judgement.
You have to be in one year in TCS minimum and rest is up to delivery and there needs and preferences. It's all luck factor and your rapport with your delivery/ manager and client

How to ask manager?

- Be very clear and request your manager if there is no eligibility criteria then please consider you for next onsite and that you are looking forward to it.
- Go that extra mile, do your work and then try helping your team/manager in extra work, talk to him frequently, a little bootlicking etc..
- Keep building rapport with client and subtly tell them you wanna join them in their country.
Also, keep upskilling as market is fragile and if you want to go onsite for money then you can jump in India also.
Total years of experience is 3.5 years
Minimum 1 year experience in TCS
I think grade should be C2.
I went on short term while i had 1.5 yrs of experience in total.
PS : i got approvals to bypass the eligibility.
For long term not sure only YOE and Grade is required.
How did you talk to manager? Any suggestion sir?
I hope client must have discussed with your manager ? Its okay to initate the discussion from our end and show you have interest to go onsite .
In my case manager nominated my name . Hence its was easy for me to proceed .
