Onsite opportunity
Does anyone know possibility of getting US onsite.currently I am C2.also, how much they pay on onsite?
Mostly they nominate only C3A and above for the H1 lottery process.
Best case, you get a promotion now. (Or assume they accept you being C2) . Lottery will be in 2025 March.
In case you get selected, it will take atleast 6 months from that date
- to file petition
- get it approved
- receive the original petition to your location
- start looking for appt slots
- then get the actual appt someday.
Some of these will include RMG approvals. And even after getting the stamping, you will still need to wait for an opening in your or other account
Thats your possibility of US onsite.

All of this is best case scenario.
Below are the possible situations.
- they may not accept a C2 for H1
- you may not get selected for lottery
- you may get RFE when they file you petition. It will add extra 2 months.
- Getting appt slots take a lot of time.
- Even if you get stamped, your manager will tell you reasons/excuses/lies to keep you within the project as much as he can.
I also have the same question. Recently my manager asked me to raise L1B visa request. I wanted to know how much they pay for C2 grade? @iPretendToWork , I would appreciate your feedback.
