Ex - saturation is not same for a person in mainframe domain and one in data science. But probably their salary will never be same.

Saturation does happen but the saturation range is different depending on technology, soft skills, location, opportunities etc. And there's no guarantee that a break even point will be arrived. Many people stay in same company or project for elongated period without financial or knowledge growth just because of comfort zone and that truly limits their possibility.

Also more important than the ctc figure itself is also how much we can retain on monthly basis. I have seen people earning 30k and 40k but saving same amount monthly.
