May be it will affect his future bgv as pf is already created and form 16 will be released. If he didnt join another organization immediately, and pf overlap didnt happened, then may be he will be in safe zone

I absconded from my previous company, it didn't came to "legal notice" but even if they serve him the legal notice, there is nothing "legal" about it, the most they can ask from him is money they spent on his training if he undergo any else no law in India abides a employee to work in a company out of their own free will. Hope it helps, just ask him to return the company assets though, else there could be some trouble 😅
