One excuse: AI - by TCS CEO

You all have read the news of TCS layoffs, Even they have shared letters from the CEO on unltimatix as well .

They are saying it's to align compony in AI and some other technologies.

Completely rubbing and baseless reason .

If you are in TCS, have you heard about their any AI related research or products NO !

Even if you suggest or register for process improvements - management will simply decline.

Then what exactly they are saying by the word of AI !

They have even blocked all sites under the AI ML category to prevent the use of their employees.

Does any of your projects adapts any automated process !? Surely NO, right .

They are making only excuses, their level of greediness is visible on the very first day of Ratan TATA demise.

Tcs is still stable and still posting profits, but it's all their greed that they want more and more everyday, and don't care about any employee who has worked so hard to make this company. It's just they have got a very good excuse to kick out the employees in the name of AI
Sooner or later, they will collapse this organisation and run away with all money 💰🤑.

It's high time to take over TCS by some technical person. Rather than these old age societies

But Automation is a factor. In many infra projects due to automation, team size is scaling down to 25%
Now agressive automation is happening in most of the projects . AI - Im not aware much. Still seeing some AI sales team during client visits ( Not sure they are really AI capable :) )

As of last weekend, TCS has enabled access to AI-related websites on company laptops. While this opens up new opportunities for exploration, I strongly advise against sharing any TCS or client-related information on these platforms, as doing so could lead to serious consequences, including potential layoffs. I agree with your observation that AI implementation within TCS is limited, with most projects focused on support rather than practical AI integration. This aligns with my view that TCS has been slow to adopt AI-driven solutions in core operations, primarily leveraging traditional support frameworks. While access to AI websites may signal a shift, employees must exercise caution to protect sensitive data.

Yes even I got access but you can't paste in ai chatbots and can't even copy from their response. Also it is analysed by the zscaler agent . But on other hand they have given open use of copilot to senior management, they can copy paste any data to/from copilot !

What I think is that TCS CEO and top management should sacrifice there salary.

TCS wants to improve profits. This is the only reason. Sry to say - Looks like TCS leadership waited for Shri Ratan Tata's demise.
Many midcap & small co's doing much better than TCS in AI space.

Considering potential tracking concerns, I feel it's more appropriate to use such AI tools on personal devices like your personal mobile/laptop rather than the official TCS laptop.

First time TCS history, The CEO is not capable of running a company without mass laying off strategy. Even In the past, TCS achieved benchmark performance during the recession with minimal laying off.
