Trending @Accenture; On PIP, manager’s justification

My manager informed me on 8th Jan that I am on PIP. I didn’t argue or react.

Today he called me regarding a task and after that he asked if I need any help in week 1 PIP activities or if I need more time. I said no, I can manage.

After that, he started giving justification that it was not in his hands. I have not achieved any proficiency so my name was given. Then he continued saying that he knows how much hard work I have put in and that he will support me ,blah blah..

If he knew all this, why put me on PIP in the first place? First do the damage, then offer comfort. What’s the point?

That's fine mate and it was very mature of you. Let your manager be clouded by his thoughts. Move on, you will reach heights with this attitude

Same for me and even one step further they made me resign and after that made me send early release email

He's just trying to convince himself he's such a goody 2 shoes manager who supports his subordinates, when in fact it's the opposite that is true
