On Bench for 40+ Days — Project Offered but Blocked by SWON Issues

I'm currently on the bench and recently got an opportunity to join a project where the team was ready to take me in. However, the issue now lies with my current unit — they’re not allowing me to move forward.

They're saying there is no proper SWON (Statement of Work Number) for the project I’ve received an offer from.

It’s been over 40 days since I’ve been on the bench, and it feels like our careers are being played with. Has anyone else faced a similar situation before?

@ImmenseEquality It means you can join any unit and any project. Unit RMG dont have authority to stop you. You are now in a pool of global resource. Anyone can assign you to their project.

Yes I used to get allocated to a project without any interview and get blocked which was leading to losing a role in another account of my choice. When I spoke to rmg regarding this issue they respond saying wait they will.call you and you can't accept any other accounts. Nothing can be done in such situation. Just hope to get deallocated asap. If you are allocated to a team then you are safe. Doesn't matter if it's 40 days or 60 days

If you are on bench from 40 days , you are not part unit RMG. You must be part of global RMG pool. They can’t stop you. Write to your unit RMG head, keep millind lakkad to cc.
