
Trending @Accenture; On bench 2 months : almost fired
Hi guys, Let me share a story about what happened today to one of my colleagues who had been on the bench for almost two months.
Around 11 a.m., he received a direct call from HR. They clearly told him that he had only two options:
- Find a project today itself and share the hard lock or confirmation mail before 5 p.m., or
- Resign.
If he chose to resign, they offered him a five-month payout (this month's salary + three months' notice period + 30 days' leave encashment). However, they also tried to pressure him by saying that if he didn’t resign, he would be terminated and would only receive the current month’s salary.
Fortunately, he had recently attended some interviews. He contacted one of the managers regarding the result and explained his situation. Thankfully, the manager was supportive—he sent a confirmation email and even spoke to HR on his behalf.
It was an incredibly intense day for him. After hearing this, I lost respect for the company, and I too have decided it's time to look for better opportunities.
