On a Notice Period 🔴

I'm a notice period but get one update from HR that there won't be any replacement for you and the position is closed by the client.

What does it mean they are retaining or someone at the client side with the same position.Just confirming anyone face this ??

It means that the client does not want TCS to replace you, for billing purpose. Or in other words, TCS just lost one head for billing that client.

It also means you can ask for an early release.

@Rabindranath Bade wale bakch@d ho bhai!! Sawaal samjha nai ya verbal diarrhoea karne ki aadat hai? If someone is on notice period how can TCS fire him/her? They can only facilitate an early release which I am sure next employer would appreciate.
