There are murders happening everywhere. By any basic measure their life is far better than us. The below is the list of problems i can think of about india, where things can go wrong. Feel free to add more.-

Education - If you are GC, forget it. Its easier to become rich that get into an IIT/medical or UPSC. But that is applicable only if you are able to pay school fees and get admission into a good school.

Medical - Forget poor people, Most middle class Tech employed people are just one hospital visit away from bankruptcy. Did we not see that during covid, hospital charging 1000% margin on supplies? This is everywhere across the globe.

Law & order - where do i start? - If you are renting your house, and if the renter decides not to vacate you are at their mercy. People in Delhi/NCR have houses they have simply kept locked instead of renting just for this reason. Family law in India is just Anti men, you brothers, sisters, dead grandparents can be locked up by an immoral wife. Women can file POSh complaints against mangers if they didn't like the appraisal. Hasn't that happened?

WLB balance of a white collar worker in US is much better than India. There are cases of bad managers/ Bad WLB in US, but that's an outlier. In India, bad WLB is the norm. Only the lucky get a good manager here. Try telling your Indian Manger that you have a side business, then see the reaction. Being a entrepreneur is seen in positive light in the US.

Last but not the least, the fast spreading woke virus in cities. This is also globally true.
By any length, i would say life in developed western countries are much easier than us even though they have the same problems as us. There are areas where India is better. But overall they win.
