Hey, I see you are working in Oracle, I just wanted to know how the Oracle database/DBA is doing. Is it true that Oracle's clients are migrating from Oracle to other warehouses?
Is it good to be a Oracle DBA now in the market? or can i switch to Data engineering/Devops/AI related role?
Will you be able to refer me for Opening at Oracle
I work in Oracle Exadata On-premises. Mostly nowadays, whoever I ask they are saying many are moving from Oracle databases mainly due to the cost of subscription. And Oracle was late to the cloud it seems, the Big 3 cloud providers actually occupy the market completely.
I am working as an Oracle DBA and willing to move towards Azure Cloud/AI/Data engineering .I could not get many vacancies outside the company for Oracle DBA so I made the decision. In my current project too the databases are been migrating to Databricks.
In future anything might change even OIC would be a good provider too , but I'm not sure either. If you can suggest what would be better for me, i would consider that too on my list. 🤞 Best of Luck.
