Office Time - 9 hours mandatory ?

How do they calculate the hours ? Is it the cumulative time of how long I stay in office or just logout time minus the login time ?

office hours are calculated as total hours between first in and last out for the day

So I can come by 9 AM , take as many breaks as possible and leave home by 6 PM, will this count as 9 hours ?
