Office Politics & Bonus and Hike
All of us were mocking the hike and bonus (reduced due to AI implementation), as the bonus was credited today in our accounts. However, one of my friend who was all the while with us and laughing did not get a hike nor bonus (same team). Out of frustration he blurted out that he got neither and left. I feel really bad for him and also that we let him down when he needed us the most, we had not realised that he became silent since the announcement. I really feel like shit, that something was wrong and I did not understand it. Further, it is completely wrong what they have done. He performed well but due to office politics things were made bad for him.
Thanks Guys for your response, this was just for peoples information, so that people are aware of the situation your near and dear ones are going through in the present Job market. Don't want this to be a discussion point, don't want any grapes farming with this particular post.
Ask him to speak with manager, why he didnt eligible for both.
