Office politics

My boss is trying to sideline me. He has added a new team member in the team 3 months ago and all new development tasks which needs to be done is assigned to her. For past 3 months she was made to do R&D to learn the technology and now all new tasks she takes care of and I m restricted to support work. Does it mean my position is under danger? Has he planned to throw me out of project? Even in email communication with customers, I m avoided. Should I start looking out?
