Offer negotiation
Hey everyone,I recently received an offer from Deloitte (USI, Hyderabad location). Shortly after, I received another offer from a different organization with a higher compensation.
I’m considering sharing the second offer with Deloitte to see if they’d be willing to match or revise their offer. Has anyone here gone through something similar with Deloitte? Do they entertain counteroffers, or is there a risk of them revoking the original offer altogether?

Deloitte USI is a big no no no if you are considering work culture. You gone be gaining some serious stress issues, unless off course you like to skip work and throw your team under the bus then yeah 80% of Deloitte is running on the model, they just beat around the bush till they find the right scapegoat

DeloitteUSI is a big No. No WLB. They will give short deadlines and that's how they try to win clients. I worked in lot of client projects and never its a problem with client. Client always try to be reasonable. Its always problem with Indian management. They try to pick a person who is up for promotion and dump all the work to him. This way they kill your career after 2 or 3 yrs of joining. And the evaluation is also not fair, I have worked more than 5yrs for the company and the leaders, I mean SMs/MDs/portfolio leaders, are like that. So, your work culture doesn't change in any project under them. And that's why they are not giving project name before hand but they already decided which proj2ct to assign to you as they already know the game and you dont. Also, for their survival and not let other SMs/MDs compete with new Managers or so, they put you in PIP even though you are working good but if you are not working for them. It is a complete shit here and most of the good folks are resigning and continue to do so. If you are joining in DeloitteUSI, use this info to your advantage but it's very unfair organization.

I’m currently in the final stages with other org but haven’t received the formal offer yet. Assuming I receive it soon, I’d like to understand by when I should present a competing offer if I’d like Deloitte to consider matching it. Specifically, how many days before the joining date would it still be practical or acceptable to initiate that discussion? I want to ensure I handle the timing respectfully and within a realistic window. LWD - 2nd May
