Evaluating 2 offers for a Senior Growth role. 7+ YOE. Need some perspective.
Company 1: Fintech in the consumer credit space (mid-stage, ~2–3 years old) Company 2: Very early-stage fintech (sub-1 year), focused on a niche cross-border use case
Comp is similar across both.
Context:
- Want to stay ~2 years (resume stability matters). If I don’t go for MBA next year, I’ll likely stay the full 2 years
- Planning a top 1-year MBA next year → brand + impact both matter
- Last company was also 0→1 early stage → considering if I should diversify experience now
- Prior company had poor culture → prioritizing WLB + sane team
- Both are 5-day in-office
Dilemma:
- Company 1: relatively more stable, clearer playbook
- Company 2: another 0→1, higher upside but higher risk
Questions:
- Given 7+ YOE, better to optimize for stability or continue with early-stage upside?
- Should I keep interviewing for a stronger brand / larger company instead?
- What’s a good cash comp range for Senior Growth (7+ YOE) in India right now? Trying to sanity check if these offers are competitive.
