OCI vs Oracle Health

Currently at Oracle Fusion, looking to switch internally for better WLB. Have (verbal)offers from Oracle Health and OCI-trying to decide which is the lesser evil.

Priorities right now:

work-life balance (flexibility, on-call, workload), and stability (layoff trends, org health)

For folks in these orgs: How’s the day-to-day? Are weekends/evenings yours, or are burnouts common? Any layoff whispers or reorg drama lately?

Leaning toward whichever lets me focus on health/personal life without constant fire drills. Brutal honesty appreciated.

Oracle Health is basically Cerner which was acquired last year Has a shitty tech stack working on internal tools they have something called CCL which is equivalent to SQL

So I'd say don't switch to healthcare atleast

  1. Dont consider verbal offers . Oracle health folks surely know how to roll back offers if required.
  2. OHAI has very slow environment suddenly panic mode when client starts poking them or deadline is near . Also higher ups keep on saying "i cannot provide you clear info on this for now"
If you are okay with listening this every now and then for any policy /issue/ queries, welcome onboard🙂

If WLB is your priority do not join OCI
