Trending @Cognizant; Notice period suggestion

Is there a way to negotiate a notice period in cognizant. Like pay penalty?

As per what I faced. My notice period was told as 60 by manager but later came to know that it is 90 once I put resignation.

So i asked my manager she said she is ready to decrease the notice period and ready to take any steps. First is we need to speak with the hr. If hr and manager is okay, manager should send a mail to senior manager stating this reduction of notice period, then senior manager reaches out to director who should provide the approval. Without directors approval no one is going to do anything.

And issue is senior managers won’t accept this and won’t reach out to director as they need some big exception to talk to director and get approval and they won’t take that much risk or tension just because we want to get released early.

Another thing is as per hr, even if one day of notice period is decreased then the pay for our pending leaves won’t be paid this is COGNIZANT POLICY, is what they said to me. And FNF will be delayed as well.

Hi buddy I took the Director's approval and shared the same with HR an half month before. I put reminder mail too to the HR regarding LWD change, but no reply. When will they change it in the system? As LOU is pending to submit.

In mail add your manager director and hr and send a mail and if possible ask director to send a mail so that hr will fast forward the process

If manager is fully supporting you and is ready to make senior manager understand that you can get early release and manager need to stay strong and request them. Not just ask them MANAGER NEED TO REQUEST. then only they will proceed to check with director
