Notice Period Reduction

Hi Guys, I recently got released from a project since i was not able to perform due to family medical conditions. Now I am on bench and I will not be able to work since i have to focus on my family. The documents were validated by tcs doctor earlier.

If i put my resignation will TCS accept ti reduce my notice period?

Please help me in this
