Notice period loss of pay and adjustment by new employer through joining bonus

Hi All, looking to understand how this works after you show your new employer an email of loss of pay received from your HR and they have a policy to compensate that through a joining bonus. What proofs come after this and process and when do they pay you or do they transfer to your current employer
