Notice period in offer letter

It says in offer letter that "Upon your confirmation, this contract of employment may be terminated by TCSL by giving you 90 days notice or payment in lieu thereof" and as of my current situation in the notice period, my senior manager is not letting me go because of the requirements in the team, and HR says over mail that there is no option called as "buyout" can I use this clause and ask for early release?
