Trending @Wipro; Notice period for someone who is not Customer - Billable.

Hi, I got an offer from another company and the joining date is 23rd December 2024. I am currently billable (as shown in the PSP), but when I asked my manager about the notice period details, he mentioned that as I am not "Customer Billable", he won't be able to say the probable notice period.

So have the following queries which need to be answered:

  • what is the probable notice period, if someone is not Customer Billable.
  • if it is 90 days, then can it be negotiated as I am not Customer Billable - like there is no project dependency.
  • what are the conditions for a buyout and how to apply for that.
  • and is it possible to ask the manager to not extend the billability, as I am not Customer Billable and don't have any project dependency.

Your response is highly appreciated.

Thanks

Notice period is usually 90 days, but you can try negotiating since you're non-billable. Buyout depends on manager's approval. Politely ask your manager about not extending billability. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice. But actually I'm not non-billable, in the PSP it is showing as billable but when I asked my manager, he said that I am not customer billable.

P.S. : I am not sure which billability he was referring to by saying not customer billable.
