Notice period
Hello, I want to know how I can reduce my notice period. I am already serving one month and want to buy out the remaining month. My total notice period is two months. I spoke to HR and my manager, but they are adamant that I serve until April 30th. However, my new joining date is April 21st. I have documented all the knowledge transfer (KT) and completed my tasks, but my manager is still not convinced. How can I proceed with the buyout in this situation?
Try to speak to the new company that the old company is not letting go before the notice period and will not allow notice period buyout. Ask them if they care to hire you with a reliving letter (because you are willing to join them on April 21st) or if they would like to wait for you for the entire duration of the notice period.
