Notice period extension

I took a couple of sick leaves during my notice period which are approved by HR in the system. And I have also gotten the resignation acceptance email that mentions my last working day.

Recently I found out that my manager is planning to extend my notice period as there are a couple of tickets in my name still pending to be worked upon and I worked based on my capacity.

I am serving the last week in my np and still no replacement has been on boarded.

How legit is it to extend the notice period and is it even possible or is it just a blackmail.

Please let me know because I don't want to lose the only offer in hand. And I can't afford to ask them to extend the date of joining. And I have only one offer in hand.

Please guide !!!

Notice period cannot be extended because of sick leaves. Read the policy document. This can happen only in case of planned leaves. However, please try to finish what you have and exit with your own peace of mind.

This is exploitation at its peak bro..already due to the 3 month notice period...no company is willing to take interviews. And one more thing these guys have a policy that says notice period is not considered as an Active Assignment. Gratuity will be given only to people having 4 years and 8 months of active assignment. Meaning if I resign at 4 year 5 months of service I will not be eligible for gratuity if that is the case then they should not expect us to work in the last 3 months as well.

What the hell is his bro...these guys should be sued for their malpractices.

Just leave. Dont give a fuck about the company. They won't extend its absolutely pointless.

They can try but you can fight back and leave. Just ignore totally.
