Notice Period Extension

Hi Fishes, I am currently serving notice period with 3 weeks remaining. I am not going to office but giving all KTs and handover. My manager and HR are now threatening me over mail that they will extend my notice period as I am not coming to office. Your comments please!

Just go to office and tell everyone the salary you are getting in new job. The benefits you getting in new job. Whatever work you do make some mistakes. This will discourage other to do their work. They will release you in week.

No they cannot extend your NP beyond 90 days. They are simply bluffing.

Any option to decrease our notice period from 90 days to 60 days ? Like leave an exception or pay a monthly amount? Any idea ?

No these people won't give an early release. They will try to extract maximum from you during the 90 days and then only they will release you.

And you will be released from Tcs within 2-3 days.

They can put you on Unauthorised Absence, and that would nullify your Timesheet entries.

You can do the opposite though, report to the office but don't work at all.

You can highlight to them that as per labour law you can request them for early release and you can drop a return mail.

Whatever they are saying do it as it is bcoz same thing happened with my senior andHR and supervisor had extended his notice period and he had to come office daily and spend 9 hours by sitting idle! Don't do that!
