Not sure who started this term fluidity... Can someone please help us with more information... So that we can be more careful 🙂

What I have heard so far from reliable sources :
-
In Fixed Price projects , if you are senior or costly resource, then projects being asked to release some resources. If projects says that they need them then projects being asked to convert them in T&M projects (which is off course not possible in short notice)
-
If associate has tagged for release from projects (in this case, associate do get automatic notification) for over couple of months then RMG is preponing their release date.
-
allocations are also reduced for some of the associates. In this case person don't get any notification.
All such associates released to RMG will have to now find new project.
If they are release from Fix Priced projects then that means they preferably need to find T&M project , if possible.

This is correct

"fluidity list" is real and it is unit wise. I have seen one but it was sent out to me by my senior to see if there is someone whom we can take project as we need couple of niche skill sets.

You will be released to other projects within unit where the role demand is there. This has nothing to do with current TCS ugly exercise.

if your role is not critical, you can be put in fluidity list irrespective of your performance. In other words your not existence does not kill project, you can be put on fluidity list. In simple words, you will be released and now you need to find a new project.
