Not sure if true, heard from my contact Morgan Stanley (MS) will be laying off 3K employees? Not sure if this is from a global count or specific region? Can someone confirm please?

Global and it's already started. A few of my friends from a different department got laid off

Its definitely a sad day, lot of colleagues with more than 10-15 yrs of experience also admitted that they haven't seen such a day for Indian teams.

And the hard part is very less number of upper management is affected. Why does lower levels have to go through this while they are the ones who are actually doing the work.

Nevermind, i think karma is always in action, i think all the people who have a role to play in such politics and corporate shit will have to face their karma in some or the other forms.

Layoffs are in progress. Might be concluded by the end of next month

It's a very sad day at MS. Close to 200 people have been laid off today.

How many months of severance is offered to MS laid off employees?

What teams have been cut till date any idea ? Is there a pattern to who all are getting layed off ? Exp / designation etc.
