Trending @Infosys; Not getting performances bonus

I got promoted to technical analyst last year jan 2023. So it's JL4. I am eligible for performances bonus as I am receiving mails for the same. But getting zero performance bonus.. Can anyone please tell me why?

When I asked my manager so he said that your last year rating was "need improvement" hence you will not get performance bonus for whole year

What the hell... Is it valid reason??

Please tell me..

Yes all 4 quarters. No Performance Bonus. But the best part is you will get an e-mail that you are not eligible for a performance bonus. Hence Zero Performance Bonus. You will receive this letter till all 4 quarters get over. This time, if there is mercy from your manager, project, client, unit, market, God etc. You may get a met expectations rating and your bonus will again be credited with a varied percentage but not zero. Hope for the best.

What were your goals set in count in previous cycle, reflect in yourself and think if you have accomplished those goals or not and if you did, bring proof or statistical data of your contribution and provide justification that you don't deserve Need Improvement, lest it's already been an year so you should focus on learning and switching jobs or project. Cause a manager giving need improvement will always have or find reason to repeat it. And HRs are not your friend . They and manager are together. If you have enough (real/ logical) proof then go to senior manager or even DM. And finally if nothing works do bare minimum and learn and switch.
