Not eligible for anniversary appraisal

I got a call from HR today that my anniversary appraisal wont be done as I am not eligible as I have not been working from office. Is this legit? Or just some drama to get me back to office? My rating is already out but they are reluctant on releasing the letter. Pls advice.

Its just been a year since i joined. Not been to office most of the time.

If you are lateral entry then you will not get anniversary appraisal. You will only get it when you complete 2 years.

It will make no difference if you are visiting office or not. You will get ZERO HIKE. Just got anniversary letter this month.

If I joined in October 2024, will i receive my first appraisal in March 2026 ?

HR has sent email stating your RTO index is <60% in Q3, hence your FAV has been put on hold in FY25-Q4 considering WFO non compliance in FY25-Q3. If you manage to maintain your WFO index >=85% in FY25-Q4, your anniversary letter will be released in next FY.
