Trending @Infosys; Not allowing to work from nearest dc anymore ?

Heard few of the unit Dms have sent email stating a mandate to work from base location dc only not nearest dc . Can anyone confirm any such information if this is going to be the case accross units ?

I am from CIS it will be good if anyone can confirm from CIS perspective as well
