Non- billable associates within project at risk?

Today heard a colleagues friend from GE healthcare who was non-billable was forced to resign. Apparently, HR had asked for non-billable associates from the account and she got the axe. Does anyone have other such instances?

How to know if we are billable or not?

If you are filling client timesheet then you are billable. If not , and you are filling TCS timesheet as billable, then also you will be considered billable. Rest all are non-billable

Nope. In my project everyone is non billable and we have around 200 members and we have our own product which is already live in 3 different countries. So its not a problem for non billable
