
No value for senior resources
Dear all, I have a total of 14+ years of IT experience in several domains, tools and technologies. I'm a high performer in my current project and spent 6 years in it with several customer appreciations.
But, when I ask for Onsite or promotions, nobody is least bothered.
The most annoying part of my career is my package which is the most horrible one and does not justify my experience and performance.
It's very very disappointing and disheartening on a daily basis.
Sometimes I get blank and plan to quit but have family responsibilities.
Horrible life!

I echo you buddy.. but it is never late... Either you get a market check done and see where you stand package wise and plan accordingly or waste time here only in hopes and you will gradually get old for interviews too. I am struggling with the same issue as I have been waiting for on-site past 1 year.. but have decided to give myself 6 months and than moving on.. don't make yourself Victim. You have choices

They know seniors hesitate to leave TCS and hence take advantage of it.
Either we leave or we adjust our performance in accordance with the recognition (reward/pay/hike) we get.

Yes... Pay they are not going to do ... Started treating the job like civil govt. employee😬😬😬😬

I too am in the same situation with a way low package . Everyday starts with the idea of dropping papers. Have been applying to 5-10 jobs on a daily basis. But not a single call.Started affecting my mental health as well. But no luck.

Same situation, let's start helping each other and give references for more jobs

What is your grade??? I'm assuming it is C3b.. It is very hard to get promotion from this level to C4.. You have to handle account or should be billable as architect etc.. Means delivering business to tcs to be considerd for promotions.
If onsite is not there in your account then it will be again difficult for you to get it from rmg or other account after release... Is you project US based???

Hey story of my journey at tcs also. They simply don't value experience.

Value is not based on number of years but it is based on the amount of business person delivers to tcs.

Bastards works in the higher management of tcs.
