In my opinion , let them terminate you. Company will have less headache if you resign yourself. In today's market it barely matters if you the skills

What would happen if they choose to terminate?

Then you may be eligible for severance since on paper they terminated you. Still it varies from company to company. If they are eliminating you on false grounds and you have everything on mails etc then you can take legal route.

My advice is always when those assholes ask to resign, just resign. There is nothing we can do. This is a fight we cannot win. Politely ask them if there is a severance package, if they decide not to pay, they won't.
Ask them to process the F&f quickly and leave immediately.
Nothing can be done. Keep your emotions check, don't say/ask time for saying good byes. Pretend you knew this was coming. Don't cry, make a scene. It's like running in front of stray dogs, they will chase.

First find out whether you are eligible for severance or not, then find out whether it's illegal for them to not pay you severance,

then let the company know you are aware of your rights and will fight for it

Nothing... Get a next job, try to crack a deal for last working day.

You can do nothing the only thing which will safeguard you in the current market is having an emergency fund of 8 months, yes this can be done by companies and you can't sue them so always need to cover your bases before going for big EMIs etc

If you can take the risk, do name and shame them by sharing screenshots of mails, LinkedIn, WhatsApp msgs, etc.
Have always hated this power dynamic.
