To everyone who has been insulting the giant for paying low and not giving hikes-
the head count of TCS is ginormous.
They prioritise hiring from small cities with the goal to provide employment and livelihood. It’s not the same as MAANG overpaying 20 kids from 10 colleges. They hire in 1000s from 100s of colleges.
Their 2% is 12000 employees, that’s the global head count of so many companies.
The company knows what’s at stake and hence the low pay and low hikes. If they were to be reckless with pay then they would be laying off headcounts equivalent to the size of full blown companies. It’s not a joke. These would be the ones coming from small cities or rural areas some being their families’ only source of income. The impact will be exponential.
Can't imagine India without TCS, they're hiding failures of Govt. by hiring ppl from Teir 2,3 cities.
