No resignation on Probation?
I joined TCS with C3A designation in July 2024. My Kid is just 2 years and undergoing speech therapy so asked HR and manger to work from Non ODC office as office having odc is 36km far from My flat. To fro commute take atleast 4 hours. Hr denied to give exception and ask me to report to ODC location from next day (5 days ) So i felt i should leave TCS for this personal emergency. HR denied that you can't exit and can't take long leave in Probation Period. Is it true that we can't resign in Probation? If no what is the notice period i need serve?
Ask HR to show the policy which states you cant
Ask for LWP apply all leaves
I am in Probation. I can't take LWP as even my first salary didn't got credited. For now i am punching card early morning or late night
Were you not aware of office location before joining?? Didn't they till you that currently they are working 5days from office?? Why did you take a chance if you were aware.... Hiring is happening only when the candidate is ready to report to office hence they will not listen to you in this case.. Resignation is possible in probation period but if you convince them that this is temporary requirement and you can report to office on alternate days etc like that your plea will be considerd.. Getting a hike and sitting at home due to personal reason will not be accepted for new candidates as per my understanding
