Folks have taken things into their stride and prepared to face things and give a strong blow to the org.

TCS has 6+L employees, only 1.5+L is IT workforce, rest belongs to ITeS/BPO category. The org has plans to sack 2+L employees. So are they going to sack mostly the IT category, and keep the BPOs as employment costs are cheaper, work for 10 hrs / day, and can be deployed as IT consultants for customers. Point I am trying to make here is IT consultants, pls do protect your work, knowledge, education levels/certifications. Don't let any tcs managers pass off an ITES consultants as IT consultants in front of customers. Let the customer also know about the true nature of consultants. Any delivery failure or mishap during the projectnexecution brings disrepute to entire IT consultants from tcs. No one will see that BPO consultants were also involved in oroject work. So we need to protect our IT consultancy work. ... and this is the ethical thing to do.

Do you think it ethical for TCS to pass BPO resources as IT consultants to customers, and bill them the same rates of an IT consultant?
