Trending @Accenture; No hikes then why WFO?
So, funny story…
My manager just dropped a bombshell—apparently, in an internal meeting, it was announced that there will be either no hikes or barely any hikes in the June cycle.
Now, correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t Accenture the one threatening us with “No WFO, no hikes”? And yet, here we are, hikes getting scrapped regardless of whether we show up or not.
So… remind me again, why exactly should I bother coming to the office? Yeah, good luck pushing WFO when the incentives are non-existent.
Accenture is no longer the better place to work, at least in India.

In my project they ask to come once a week to have team collaboration. But Team to hai hi nahi in that location. All collaboration happens over call. Then why can’t I work on that day as well from my home. Fixed seat allotment will incur cost and the project does not want to pay it. Book karke jao seat to pehle jaake jo betha hai use samjhao n uthao. Why do one has to go through this? No hikes and promotion pe bhi kya hi dia.
Same with me. Mera to poora team ki south me hai. Mai gurgaon ja ke konsi team ke saath collaborate karun
True! I understand that pre covid scenario hota yo we all would have been going to the office. It just that now we know that WFH se bhi waise hi kaam ho sakta hai jaise pehle hota tha. Infact productivity ab zada hai. I have a friend who is returning to work from MAT leaves and she was told the same to work once a week. She is in a dilemma as how to leave her child alone at home even for a day.
I believe only a few projects don't provide a hike.Since the manager takes all team mates hike in his/her pocket.
WFO mandatory to all Accenture employees before Covid. If there is no Covid ,then there is no wfh option we would be enjoying till now.
Better understand the fact and also the layoff list is already now . In my team,last month one team member got laid off
So don't try to add your name to the list by not coming to the office
We had WFH three days a week even before Covid
And this is the kind if fear mongsring they’ve been doing. Wanna fire me? They know exactly how to to do that. But I am not spending half my salary in a city where I would die from the air itself with in 10 years
