No hands-on experience

Hi all,

I Joined tcs in july 2024. Till now it is 2026 and i didn’t get to work on a project.

Till now 2 clients have been changed but no project given to me.

What should i do?

Even if i have to make a switch , what will i show in my experience?

Has anyone faced situation like this? Could anyone please tell what to do to make a switch from tcs or how to get project?

Upskill and get Ceritications.

You were part of projects highlight the skills you learned from certification as " Optimisation Plans " you presented in the project. Have a good portfolio ready as well.

Most companies look for what you can bring to the table and not what you have. So just focus on the upskilling and give interviews. Just put believable bluffs as well.

Actually even after selecting me the client did not give me any project. I mean was still on bench even after they selected me. I have worked on 0 projects till now. What should i do?

Its been 4 years I joined, and just did two very small scale projects of 2-3 months each. Many certifications, external certifications as well, kept up skilling, my learning hrs are way above average TCSers. Still no projects. Have received good ratings and bands every year. Still no projects. So, I guess this is how it is. Same boat, what will i tell in interviews if I try to switch, what experiences will I share.
So don’t worry. Either keep trying to switch, or just wait for projects.
