No clue in life
Hi everyone,
I’m a 26-year-old male, currently working as an SDE in a PBC in the Delhi/NCR region. Lately, I’ve been feeling clueless about what to do after work. At times, I feel like quitting my job and just living a peaceful life in the mountains, but due to my financial situation, that’s not an option. Plus, I’m planning to marry my college girlfriend, so I need to keep earning.
The real problem is that I feel drawn toward doing something different—like starting a business or a startup. I come up with ideas, but procrastination holds me back, and I stop midway. I also don’t have friends around me who are motivated to do something extraordinary, which makes things even harder.
Now, I’m looking for a mentor who can guide me. I want to earn money outside of my job, but it feels really difficult. I know switching companies could help, but that cycle never really ends. There’s only so much you can earn from a job, and after spending a few years in the industry, I don’t feel like going through the whole prep process for another job switch.
What do you guys think I should do?

You cannot quit. You are not financially stable and you also want to get married. I would recommend plan what you want to do in the 2 years. Set yourself up with proper timelines and try your best to stick to the timelines.

Same situation, just take action on your ideas man. I need to do the same.

Job is good man, keep investing in yourself. And do find some good friends

Business/enterpreurship etc is not meant for everybody, it needs that mindset and zeal. It also needs some financial backing. If you are not from financially strong family, and don’t have a knack for business, then it is unwise to think of business just because it sounds fancy and your current job looks bore or tough
