No band released this year for me.

Did anyone faced this scenario. I got released from my previous project on 16 Jan 2023. After that i was not tagged in any project till May 2023. Then 7 May to 6 Dec 2023 i was on maternity leave.. and when i joined back i got a project in 1 Feb 2023.. This project did not considered me for this year since i joined in the last of the financial year... means no project in this financial year.. i did not get band for this year.. is there such kind of policy or anyone faced same situation.. do i need to talk to HR..
