Trending @Cognizant; Night shift allowances not received

I haven’t received my night shift allowance for April 2024 to November 2024. For over a year, management kept telling us that the payment was being worked on. Now, suddenly, we’re being informed that we won’t receive the allowance because the “old data is no longer available.”

This feels like a complete failure of responsibility and transparency from the management side. Why were we given false assurances for more than a year?

We worked those night shifts. We earned that allowance. Now we’re being told it’s gone — just like that?

If anyone has faced a similar situation or knows the correct way to escalate this to senior leadership or HR, please guide. I don’t want this to be brushed under the carpet.

It's a serious issue, you should mail to HR, inform BU head by keeping CC your manager and PM

I think you can directly report this issue to ceo

There is a hierarchy which we need to follow. You cannot directly reach out to the CEO. Better go to the project manager and ask him to send an approval mail for the night shift allowance to the BU head or EDL. Informing all the scenarios and ask them to approve. You will get approval for that. If additional help is required raise a gsd or you can reach out to me in chat

Go ahead with escalation, don't spare these bastard managers.
