New WhatsApp redesign. I actually like it. Clean, and not major changes.
How are you folks feeling about this one?

You think the Meta AI stores all our chat info for processing?

That would sure be fucked up. But it's Meta, and that's exactly what I expect them to do.
I've spoken with a few Meta senior folks about Instagram listening to us all the time and showing ads. They refute. But I know it happens, I've seen creepy instances now.

It's crazy tho isn't it. They've created something which we inherently don't trust, but cannot stop using either. Strong business.

Its fine I guess but I wish they add a business tab too along with communities so that all messages from business account go into that. I hate that all business now message on WhatsApp and sending STOP doesn't work always. I don't want these messages in my main chat list.

Sort of like how SMS manager does with transactions and promotions
People arw divided about it. Majority of people on twitter and threads are criticising the redesign. Especially the use green as the accent color. On the other hand linkedin janta is so happy with the redesign. I personally feel it’s alright. Nothing great. Telegram is still ahead in terms of features and design.

Interesting Idk, Telegram feels very overwhelming to get into. Maybe cuz for a non-active user, it's full of some groups you joined long back with 5000+ messages pending. And otherwise just "XYZ is on Telegram". Never felt it to be very inviting.
But have heard users shifting to Telegram and loving it too.

Why y'all use light mode?

Apple users are angry on the green color

I still don’t get it, why do they have different designs for iOS and Android? It’s not like they changes suddenly, this has been there since the early days.
It would be great if anyone can shed some light on this.

I still didn't get this Meta AI update on my samsung s23
