Hi All need some clarity on tax deductions that will happen based on the new budget. So upto 12lk salary has been exempted. So my current salary is 14Lk, my question is will the tax be calculated on the amount earned after 12 Lakh or it will be the regular tax bracket of 20% on the overall.

u would have to pay around 80-90k in taxes as u are exceeding the exemption limit, check any tax calculator on-line, u will get the idea
