New recruits in finance-ecommerce
I am CFO-Ecommerce of a prominent sports retailer and we are trying to recuit resources for FP&A and finance roles.. 1-3 years we are currently quoting 13-15 lacs ctc (preferably CA) and 3-5 years we are quoting 19-22 lacs ctc (mba finance or CA).. But there are hardly any takers! Some 1 yoe ppl are quoting 30–35 lacs and 4-5 yrs are quoting 35-40 lacs! Is this the job market really in finance?.. I dont know of this is only because of startups or is there really some benchmarking needed to be done?
I feel the salary offered by you is good enough. But if you are looking to hire good talent from Tier-1 MBA clgs then the figures are too low.

A lot of these folks see some inflated/outlier TCs online and think “everyone gets those”
