Trending @Infosys; New project allocation

So as y'all know I had a big fight with my manager some time back and now my work has completed

I got a call and mail from another manager that I will be working with her September onwards

And the work she's assigning me feels unnecessary work like fixing this bug (which seems very unimportant)

That's fine I don't care about that But the thing is she has not allocated her project code in system

So in the system i see myself on the bench since September started so I discussed that with her she said I will allocate but she hasn't yet

There is one more guy he's also in this project he is also showing on bench since a week

So i don't understand if I will continue working will she allocate or should I treat myself on the bench and study and get Outta here

I don't understand if my manager is doing this on purpose

Bro, simply refuse to work unless production code has been put, I saw a case like this where they fooled freshers to work without allocation for 2 years for internal project and they are fired as they are on bench.

Yes exactly that's why I don't want to work

Strange!! Are u getting project calls? Or mails like you have been mapped for this proj?

Are you getting bench mails or project calls from any other teams ? May be currently you are on preprod code and eventually she will map you to production code.

But on the other hand , upskilling and switching is entirely your choice irrespective of you are on project or bench.

Don’t mislead people. Infosys is paying for people to work. Yes, they need to be assigned to a project code for billability perspective , but refusing to work is not the solution. Talk to your manager and get it sorted out. Irrespective of someone being on project code or in bench , company can fire anyone. It’s a private company

Hi Hermoine, this is your manager here. Now get back to work.

just connect with HR and raise this concern. don’t work on project work if on bench code you won’t be billable
