New Joiner at TCS
I recently joined TCS as an Assistant Consultant. I was wondering if even Government offices are working better than our TCS employees. My manager doesn't even know what needs to be done for my seat allocation and initial configuration and guidelines for the new joined.

Ouch..Not all Govt employees work that way..
Just like the projects in an MNC.The workload varies with department..Workshops and Accounts in Railways have targets and heavy workloads whereas some departments have almost nil work at one day and another day its for 12 hrs min..there are at times where they stay at work and come home next day ...
On the other hand there are ppl with employee union influence never work at all😪My relative in Income tax dept works on weekend and 9am -8pm on weekdays mostly.
We always miss our family members as most of them are govt servants.
Definitely atleast more than 60% in every department are honest and only cos of that Roadways,Railways,Electricity, PWD,Police operate at decent level.. Also the vigilance dept is very strict since I remember one uncle was dismissed due to nil work.(lengthy process of 8months after multiple warnings)
Also there are some threats when there is an action to be taken on a corrupt employee..
If we really need our govt offices to be active we need to choose a proper govt.. P.S.Its crap in both current and opposition govt for the past 20yrs as I knew..
